The problem isn't that our films are better than theirs - it's that we control the largest single market for films, and thus can afford to make certain types of films which are generally rather crowd-pleasing, although I don't know if "good" is the right word to describe them.

You simply can't spend $150 million on a French-language movie. You'll never get your money back. English-languag
