mold into

Is this natural? - to mold into or model after?

Mold into is incorrect so what would you say?

The biggest piece of advice that was given to me was "be yourself, don't mold into somebody else or someone people want you to be and not to model yourself after anyone."

Thank you

You can't "mold into someone else"; however, you can "mold yourself into someone else" or "model yourself after someone else". The quoted part has some other problems and doesn't read well overall. This is my attempt to improve it: "Be yourself.
