Modifiers

What modifier should follow the verb enlighten? More specifically, which of the following three sentences is correct?

Thank you for enlightening me about the important aspects of the venture capital industry..
or
Thank you for enlightening me on the important aspects of the venture capital industry.
or
Thank you for enlightening me of the important aspects of the venture capital industry.

The first is probably the most colloquial; the second seems fine, too. The third is not right. I see from Ms Google that 'enlighten (someone) to' is also in use, but that too seems wrong to me.
