Anonymous Does “w ith my friend ” modify “was busted ” or simply “jaywalking” ? It modifies jaywalking , which implies that you wouldn’t have been busted if your friend hadn’t been with you. Presumably, your friend was also busted, so say My friend and I were busted for jaywalking.
