Speech & Pronunciation

/mɪnɪŋ/ ?

Hi.

Can the short vowel sound /?/ work in the word meaning so it is /m?n??/ instead of the long vowel sound /i:/ in Indian English, please?

Hi Indian speakers, I believe, do pronounce that vowel slightly short but, in London, no one will be too worried. Others pronounce it longer but, as said, it's not a big deal Dave
