Question:



Cite the following excerpt and list the citation:

Answer in MLA format:



I found myself supportive of author Nicholas Targ’s arguments from his piece titled: “Forward with Environmental Justice” when he stated the following: (In MSWord I have this long qoute properly spaced but how would I cite it in text?

The environmental justice movement has been called the combination at two of the greatest movements of the twentieth century, namely the civil rights movement and the environmental movement. Environmental justice stands for the proposition that all people have the right to clean air, clean water, and clean land, and that those potentially affected by environmental decisions should have a meaningful say in the process, regardless of race, income, or ethnicity. (?) In-Text would be?

That doesn't help at all dude because there is no page number. Its a citation from an online journal, and its an article within a volume. I know how to cite it on the "works cited" page but "in-text" (citation) i'm not sure.

Thanks for your reply tho, and as far I can tell OWL does not have a clear answer about a journal+article+volume+issue+no page number "in-text" qoutation.

Okay, for an online journal with no page numbers, you just put the authors last name in the parenthetical citation in the text. If you have more than one end citation from the same author, then in the in-text citation you should follow the author's name with a comma and the title of the article to which you are referring.
