MLA In-Text

Hello.

I can't seem to find any answers elucidating on the matter of in-text citations for a short-story on a website. Would I just place the author's name with no page number: "blah blah"(Chekhov). And if so, would I have to repeat this process throughout my essay, since there are no page numbers?

Thanks.

I can't locate a definitive MLA style either, but if you have the standard internet citation in your bibliography (author, title, date of access, URL, etc.), then the name only should serve.
