MLA

Do You put a period after a comma? For example, if you cited a cource in the text you do it in a parentheses according to MLA format but does that comma constitue the period? Or do I also need to put a period after the citation and then continue on to the next sentence?

I don't think a period can follow a comma in any situation, but I'd have to see your specific instance to be sure; I cannot envison what you are trying to explain.
