"At night, when all of our family are asleep, the hamster, who had been curled up like a ball, wakes up."
Is that correct there? The use of "had been" with the usual happening (the hamster wakes up at night each day when all of our family are sleep) is putting doubt in my mind which I would like to get rid of. Thank you in advance!
