There are idiom dictionaries. You can google idiom "quote you want to find" and you will find them.

1. sack someone -- Have you tried to look this up? It's common and easily found.

2. A broken need -- Not an idiom I'm aware of and I don't understand its meaning

3. To nip the evil in the bud -- "Nip in the bud" is also a common idiom you should be able to find the meaning for

4.A blue eyed boy -- A blue-eyed boy is a literal statement. The boy has blue eyes. Not an idiom that I know of. Note the hyphen.

5. Carrt weight -- I don't know what this is

6. Have a long face -- Also a common idiom. I"ll give this one to you: look sad

7. Time and tide wait for no man -- This is a proverb, I guess, more than an idiom. Have you tried to look it up?

8. Wash one's dirty linen in public -- Reveal embarrassing secrets that should not be made public
