Mixed conditional

What is mixed conditional and when is it used? I have never heard about it. I know first, second, and third conditional but I have no idea about mixed conditional to show the sentences. Please help.

Mixed conditionals occur when a different conditional (0, I, II, or III) is used in each clause because of different time references: If I had been raised better as a child ( III ), I would be more polite now ( II ).
