Misted mirror

Hi

Are these sentences natural?

She loves it when her voluminous mirror in the washroom gets misted while she is showering and singing.
She loves to run her hand on the misted mirror after she's done showering.

Can we also say "clouded mirror"?

Thanks,

Tom

The word voluminous* suggests that something has a lot of volume (that is, it has a lot of room inside it) and doesn't make sense in this context considering mirrors are generally very thin. A mirror would likely be referred to as *wide*, *tall* or more simply *huge*/*large*/*big*/*giant . You could also make the first sentence more natural by using the phrases: - "her washroom mirror*" rather than "her mirror *in the washroom ".

  • Yes, in the second sentence you could say "clouded mirror", though it makes more sense if you also refer to the mirror as clouded in the first sentence ("her mirror in the washroom gets clouded*" and then "the *clouded mirror ").
