Missing word

Something I've heard and not seen written. Maybe I'm crazy. A verb "to glam onto something," as to grapple onto something. I'm picturing big hammy hands, and possibly the improper acquisition of intellectual property. Probably slang. Absolutely nothing on Google. Any help??

Many thanks, - A.

Glom onto - with an "O" I think. Stick to it. I know I've used it, but I can't think of a sentence that uses it that sound even slightly natural now.

Thanks again! - A.

Edit. << stick to it >> I shall!
