Mislead vs. misdirect

Hi,

I wonder if there is adifference between misleading and misdirecting, since my software translator says they are the same.

Mislead is similar in meaning to deceive while misdirect means to show you the wrong direction. All the way, if you mislead somebody, you do it on purpose, you make him/her do something wrong or believe something that`s not true.
