Can you help me with these questions?

1. I thought I (have/had) classes today. (But actually I don't have class today.)

2. One is prone to (errors/ making mistakes/ make mistakes) when s/he (has/ is under) sleep deficit. <-- Is this sentence correct? Or should I rewrite it?
