misbehavior

It was typical of him to eat off the ground again and I carefully grabbed his mouth to get him to release the disgusting palm seed. He tried to bit me but I was lucky. As punishment, I cut the walk short and headed to the car. When we got to the car, I opened the door but he walked away. Well, I felt bad for cutting the trip short so I let him wander around the car. Without me noticing, he grabbed some trash and I held his mouth to force him to spit. Instead he bit me. It was too quick for anyone to escape. Now, there are two holes in my left palm. I was pisse d off so I dragged him to the car and he knew I was mad and obediently jumped into his kennel in the backseat and we headed home. When we got home, he got no treat for his misbehavior.

Are there any mistakes?
Thanks.

New2grammarWhy is without me noticing wrong?
It's not wrong. "Without BEING NOTICED BY ME," is passive voice of "without me noticing". Your version sounds better to me. More direct. I'd be interested in hearing shbreeze's argument.
