Minute per page for the stage - what's the rule ?

greetings everyone,
I've been asked to write for the stage (a one actress and one one actor thingy).
I know the one-minute-a-page rule for the screen. Is there some similar rule for the stage ?
Is there a way for me to know how long my 50 pages (or 100 or 150 - don't know yet) will last on stage (factoring out the actor parameter I know they can either go through their lines at the speed of light or... put... meaningful... pregnant... pauses... here... and... there...) ?
Many thanks in advance
B.

  • Check with stageplay producers to see what their experience is.
  • In my stageplay writing class we go by a simple rule: one page is two minutes.
