Is this understanding correct about 'mineral water'?
1. bottled water - AmE "Bottled water is expensive here."
2. minerals - BrE "Minerals are (is??) expensive here."

In the UK you can say either Mineral water is expensive here. or Bottled water is expensive here. Sometimes people say "bottled water" or sometimes "mineral water".

It doesn't really matter which unless you want to really split hairs and the bottled water does not have minerals in it.
