Mind ripper

Hi,

A chef was explaining about his dish. The dish looked like nachos but all candied because it was actually dessert.

He said "It's just kind of like a mind-ripper".

What does it mean by "mind-ripper"? Could you pick some example context you would use it?

Thank you,

Ryo

It is slang that I have never heard. I suppose 'mind-ripper' means something that greatly surprises the mind.
