Millions tuned in or turned in

The news clip starts with an anchor saying this:

You know, that Kansas-Duke game delayed the start of the Stormy Daniels interview. But millions still ___________ in.

I think it's gotta be tuned in the blank, but it sounds to my ears like turned.

Could someone please take a listen and verify which it is?

He says "turned" but I believe he means "tuned". It seems to be a slip of the tongue.
