Might/Would?

Don't you think it might/would be good for her to change school?

Is the only difference that might is vaguer and more polite than would? In the sentence, could might just be translated as=maybe would?

Politeness is not an issue in this usage. "Would" is a great deal more certain/definite than "might."

The way I hear it, would gives a little extra weight to the idea that the school change is a good thing. Might is less loaded with opinion. Actually, using don't you think rather than do you think immediately conveys the idea that the change would be good.

Yes. That sounds reasonable to me — in this sentence anyway.

However, I don't recommend substituting "maybe ... would" every time you see "might". It's usually closer to "maybe ... is" or "maybe ... will be".
