Might or would?

Dear teachers

Could you please review the sentences below?

When he is older he might turn into a helping, kind man.

VS

When he is older he would turn into a helping, kind man.

My understanding is that might here is the correct word to use, because we are talking about a future real possibility. "Would" would imply that that is not going to happen.
