Might be a little better or worse for the experience

Hi

The narrator in a book writes: So whatever might happen to me - whatever did happen to me - you can be sure I lived through it all, though I might be a little better or worse for the experience, and you can make up your own mind which.

--- Does it mean: though some experiences were better and some worse for me and the reader will make up his own mind which were better and which worse for me.

Thanks

OK and the reader will know which experience had a good effect on me and which had a bad effect, is that right?
