Hello....

What exactly does the underlined part mean?
Does it mean "Whatever I do, you can do it and you have to do it if the situation requires"?
Or does it mean some more?

Now we are joined, you and I. Whatever I do, you might as well have done yourself. If you were capable of it. If I fall, you fall with me, only I shall not fall unless you betray me.
