middle and midst?

as titled, what's difference between them as nouns? thanks a lot.

Hello Osee, as far as I know there's no difference between the 2 nouns as regards the meaning, but midst is an obsolete word, I don't think it's very used nowadays (at least this is what I've studied on books ), probably a native speaker could say more!
