Middle and high schools correct?

Hi. Let say you taught math at two middle schools for 6 years and at two high schools for 5 years. Is this correct? Please see the underlined parts. Thank you in advance for your help.

I taught math at middle and high schools for more than a decade.

Or should it be this?

I taught math at middle and high school for more than a decade.

I would say 'schools' as you are referring to different places of education. You are not referring to when you were 'at school' which would be in the singular, however many schools you had attended.
