Microwave (morpheme)

As to this word,my teacher says it is "one morpheme".I know "micro" is a bound root, but I don't know if "wave" is a bound root. Can you help me explain it?If "wave" is also a bound root, then I can say microwave is one morpheme made of two bound roots, right?

Thanks a LOT for your answer!!!^_^
