Micawber -- Enclosing Contractions in Single Quotes to Emphasize Words as Words

I will abandon this topic forever after one more reply. The same would apply with cap letters, too, right?

1. His 'A's look like 'B's, and his 'h's look like '4's.

2. With contractions: Paragraph contained four 'I'm's, two 'don't's, four 'hasn't's, and three 'isn't's. If not, how would you handle contractions? Please show me.

3. Essay contained fourteen 'is's and twelve 'as's.

Look good, esp. with contractions? Thanks again.
