metaphor

Hi
Please tell me which of these contain a metaphor.

1.Our close resemblance turned the tide of my domestic life.

2.For somehow my intended bride became my brother's wife.

3.In short, year after year the same absurd mistakes went on

4.And when I died the neighbours came and buried brother John.

My guess is 3, ..absurd mistakes

In my opinion, there is no explicit metaphor in any of the lines. However, there is a kind of "extended metaphor" behind all of the lines, which is the comparison of the speaker with his identical twin brother: two things that are different and yet are "the same" in a way, which is what a metaphor is.
