metacognizant

is "metacognizant" a word?

I found:
metacognition: awareness or analysis of one's own learning or thinking processes.

But looking up "metacognizant" nothing comes up. Though I have heard people use it before.

Thanks.

I know this is a very late reply, but for anyone still curious, I also would have thought the adjective to describe an entity with metacognition would be "metacognizant." However, an article by Joële Proust ("Metacognition" published in October 2010) uses the word metacognitive instead.
