Mess? No, I am not in a mess; rather far from it

Hi

Could you please tell me if these lines are natural? Any suggestions are welcome.

Mess? No, I am not in a mess; rather far from it. All I did and have been doing so far is with good intent. I have meant only well. I am sure I won't be punished for trying to bring peace. After all, fate has some justice of its own and that my fate cannot be so unfair to me.

Many thanks,

Tom
