Hello,

1. He said it did him real good to lokk at me messing about.

I am not able to understand the meaning of the above sentence.

Could anybody explain it?

Messing about - also just larking around, being silly, playing. Last weekend the children spent hours just messing about in the garden.

So to me it sounds as though he enjoyed watching someone play.
