Merry Christmas, Mom!

So I just talked to the Navy boy. He's "stuck" in Okinawa - a beautiful place - with his Navy gf. They have a nice house together, and he has Peace And Quiet doing Navy paperwork and regular Navy stuff as he ponders his future - the family is pushing for college as his next step, and he's not sold on the idea.
Blithely, from son: "Mom, I wanna go back to Iraq."

"WHAT!?" Deep breath. "How come?"
"It's different. This is boring."
"So?"
"At least there I'd feel useful."
Can't argue with that.
Next up: Mary goes to Iraq. I tell you, nuffa this. I'm gonna grab my Mom and we'll *** straighten out the Middle East. On the way we'll make Rudy come too - if he can fix the Javits Center he can certainly take care of Baghdad (sp).

Oddly enough, he thinks Baghdad is a better choice then Mom in Harlem. He figures I'll do Harlem, he'll do Baghdad. I'm still waiting for my helicopter.
