Memes

I need to read some theory related to the use of memes in the language classroom. Can anybody help me?

Top answer

I had to look up memes as I had never heard the word before in 70 years as a native English speaker and 40 years as a language teacher. I still don't understand the question. I'll be interested to read if anybody else does.

I'd say an example of dealing with a meme in an English-language classroom would be teaching the need for politeness, and the different ways that politeness is express
