I am working in a non native speaking English only firm. I have heard people speak about "meeting minutes" and I understand what the term means. Only my gut feeling is that the pronunciation is off.
The people in the firm pronounce "minutes" as in "60 minutes in an hour".
If people would ask what the pronunciation was, I would more go in the lines of minute "a very small part" (my-new-t).
What is the correct way?
They are right. You are wrong.
