meet with somebody vs meet somebody?

#1- I'm gonna meet with him.
#2- I'm gonna meet him.
Are those sentences same and grammatical?
If not ,advise me~

These sentences are very informal. In standard English, write, "I'm going to meet him".

Only the scond is natural in British English, though we are hearing the first more and more.
