Meet

My friend and I are talking about what to do today and he's going to the movies with friends so I say:

"I'll meet you guys later." - since I don't want to go watch the movie with them. Or Should it be:

"I'll meet up with you guys later."

Would these short sentences be an okay reply?

Thanks!

Either of these responses is fine. I would use the second one (meet up).
