Medicine is more than laughter?

Hi,

Could you please help me with this?

There is an statement saying: Laughter is the best medicine. Do you agree? Why?

Someone wrote: No, I don´t because they need medicine more than laugh.

Even if I change laugh by laugher, this sentence does not sound correct to me.

Any suggestion?

thank you in advance !

Your change is an improvement. This is better: No, I don't, because we need real medicine more than laughter.
