The basic principles of writing an article on medicine are the same as those that apply to any kind of writing.

The article has to be grammatical. The punctuation has to be perfect. The article has to be easy to read. It has to flow smoothly from one idea to the next so that the reader is never confused. It has to be divided into logical sections. It has to have an easily remembered conclusion that draws all the parts of the article together.

In the case of writing within a specialized field like medicine, the article must use all the special terms of the discipline correctly and follow any special traditions that are used in writing articles in that field of study. This knowledge can be gained by reading as many articles as you can within that discipline. You can then begin by imitating the style that you find in your readings. To this end I am including three links to articles in medicine below. They range from one that treats medicine within a social setting to one that is a paper that reports advanced research.
