medical textbooks

Hi, I'm looking for good quality textbooks that prepare Central European doctors, nurses and midwives for work in UK hospitals. I have found a number of "medical" textbooks on the internet but there are no reviews accompanying them. Most books seem to be cases studies and lack real interactive learning material. So if anyone knows of good materials I would very much appreciate letting me know. Thanks for your time.
