Medical English

Hi,

I'm Hannah. I'm from Vietnam. I'm new to an General English language teaching career. I intend to convert into teaching English for medical purpose. My native language is Vietnamese and I am not a doctor (My husband is). I would like to have your advice on:

1. Should I pursue teaching ESP (English for specific purpose)? Many people say that learners prefer doctors who are good at English teach Medical English. How can I do to take advantage of strengths of General English Teacher.

2. How can I prepare for teaching medical English in terms of self-education, training courses, and materials?

I would appreciate all your advice!! Thank you so much
