Yes, Doctor of Obstetrics is often refered to as a DO, and my or may not have MD associated with it as well

I suspected that, as I believe the OP did, but I was unable to find a single confirmation on the web - but then, I only spent 20 minutes or so.

DO is Doctor of Osteopathy. 
It is also discussed in a thread that goes on for pages and pages, giving this information over and over.
If you want the one for the Doctor of Optometry, it's OD.
