Vocabulary

Mechanism or practice?

  • Initiated and organized the weekly Best Practice Sharing Workshop of East China pre-sales team, which was recognized by Pre-Sales Director of xxx Greater China as a long-term mechanism
I'm not sure which word I should pick, a long-term mechanism or a long-term practice? Or better vocabulary

Thanks.

I can't see how mechanism can be used. It will have to be practice if those are the only two choices. Nevertheless, for a weekly workshop to be recognized as a long-term practice is a very strange thing to say.

  • If I recognize it as a long-term practice, I'm saying that I have noticed that it has continued for a long time.
  • For example, if my grandmother cooks dinner every day for years and years, I will notice that her cooking dinner is a long-term practice.

Thanks CJ. I'll explain it. First of all, I initiated a weekly workshop and the director found it was a good idea because it could help the staff hone their skills and subsequently boosted the productivity. So the director thought the weekly workshop should be organized for a long time even after I left the company later. It means my work was recognized by the director. Got it? Any advice to revis
