This board measures three feet. I saw the above example in Wordsmyth online dictionary. https://www.wordsmyth.net/?level=3&ent_l=measure&rid=25575 The word "measure" is used intransitivly. I don't get it. Isn't "three feet" an object? How do we confirm if something or someone is an object of the verb or not?
