Meanings of some sentences

Hi. I need your help to clarify the meanings of the following sentences for a translation project. I do not want to misunderstand and interpret them incorrectly.

StartFragment>You say the outcome you've been handed was what you were aiming for all along.
(Is it saying something like this success was your aim and you're applauded for this successful result now?)

StartFragment>I don't know that I view that as a failure.
(This sentence structure 'I don't know that I view' confused me a little. Does it mean I don't th'nk that I can evaluate it as a failure?)

StartFragment>Our main point is that a weak analogy is like a congress person stumbling in a hailstorm.
(Is this an idiom 'stumbling in a hailstorm'? Any hidden meaning?) EndFragment>

...YOUR TEAM IS WAY AHEAD HERE IN THE FOURTH QUARTER, AND OPPONENTS ARE VERY DESPERATE. THEY ARE TRYING TO SACK YOU AND AREN'T DOING A VERY GOOD JOB OF IT.
THEY HAVE NOT HIT YOU ALL DAY NOW FOR TWO DAYS, AND YOU ARE GOING TO KEEP GETTING THESE LAST MINUTE HAIL MARYS THROWN AT YOU. SO JUST BEAR WITH US.

(This is given as a weak metaphor example from a congress session). Is it 'they try to stop your team but cannot success'? I cannot guess what 'HIT YOU ALL DAY NOW FOR TWO DAYS' means. Opponents are trying their chance, so he wants to be supported by saying 'bear with us'?)

Thanks for your comments in advance.
