Meaning : Stereotypical

I tried to find its meaning from dictionaries, but I couldn't get the clear picture of it.

Can anyone explain the meaning of 'Stereotype' with examples.

Thanks in advance.

LL, as you said, I usually first check with my Webster dictionary which I got it at home. But, it is more formal and can't get the meanings right.

Ofcourse, Cambridge Online dictionary explains them in simpler terms and I find it easier. So, I have to think over which dictionary to use.
