Here's the sentence " the value is display in the Milling Level area, and the pink background of the edit box means that this value is associative with the solid model"

The sentence is defective, famflying. It should read:

The value is displayed in the Milling Level area, and the pink background of the edit box means that this value is associated with the solid model.

Assuming MrM's correction,
"to be associated with something" vaguely describes a connection, or relationship between the two things without really qualifying it in any way. It really just states that a connection of some sort exists.

I assume that the reader is expected to know in exactly what way "the value" relates to "the solid model."

But I suppose in some cases the details are not exactly known to either the writer or the reader.

What does this "5.7 in." refer to? (reply) I'm not sure. I think it's associated with the suction in some way.
