They are interchangeable. It depends on the context, really. I prefer using "only", but that's just me. (Apologies for the bad pun.)

You can use "just" to describe a recent or short moment in time. Check out the example below:

We just missed the bus. (Describes when the bus was missed)
We only missed the bus. (Does not describe when the bus was missed)
