Meaning of the word Po.

There is a house in northern England call Po House. It was build approx circa 1300 so presumably was named then but I cannot find any reasonable explanation for the name Po. Anybody any ideas. Thanks.

Thanks for the reply CJ but I believe it was built by the local land owner. Maybe he was broke after paying the builders.

Or maybe he vacationed in the Po Valley in Italy. Emotion: smile
