Hello, Can anyone help me with the meaning of this phrase (the last part " a tornado seizing up ....? Turner's later work- he lived longer, not dying till 1851- was often painted as if he himself were part of the processes of nature, a tornado seizing up any new pigment that 19th century chemistry could provide.
